Team Building
We offer facilitation for teams, with:
- Business focus
- Fun with a purpose
- Or fun
If your team has a new business focus, product offering or business service, a team building activity can kick start the group, preparing for accelerated productivity. Or it may involve integrating new members into a team, bringing everyone on to the same page. This version of team building is focused on goals and expectations, set in the context of the whole organization. It could include understanding style differences, being able to more effectively draw on the diversity of thinking in the group. This may also include a team self-assessment, to identify the team’s stage of development, and options for moving to the next level of high functioning development.
Fun with a purpose activities may include helping team members solve a problem such as walking through a maze, putting together a puzzle, stacking blocks, or transferring hoops in a relay race. The fun is in the doing. The teaching is in the debrief. The learning is in your muscles.
Pure fun may include teaching your team to play harmonica, and writing a song together. Chocolate sculptures can sweeten a group’s relationships. Life size chess with team-member pieces calls on cooperation and well as competition. A charity bike build involves team members in an activity that produces a bike that is tested and then donated to a local youth charity group.
